Bowen Pan

Bowen joined the NZME board in June 2025.

He is a product and business leader with deep experience building and scaling digital platforms, marketplaces and AI-driven software across global technology and media companies. He led the creation of Facebook Marketplace and held senior product leadership roles at Trade Me, Meta, Stripe and Common Room.

Through Redwood Pan Group, Bowen advises founders, executives and boards on product strategy, go-to-market execution, AI strategy, and organisational design, helping established organisations and high-growth companies turn technological change into sustained commercial advantage. He also serves on the advisory board of the University of Auckland Business School.

Bowen is Chair of the OneRoof Advisory Board.

Sussan Turner

For the past 25 years, Sussan has held senior leadership roles across media companies, including Group CEO of MediaWorks, Managing Director of Radio Otago, and CEO of RadioWorks.

She is currently Group CEO and Director of Aspire2 Group Limited, one of the leading tertiary education groups in New Zealand, and is passionate about building executive teams and company cultures.

Sussan has extensive experience as a director and is currently Pro-chancellor of Auckland University of Technology and Co-Chair of Organic Initiative Limited.

Sussan chairs NZME's People, Remuneration & Nominations Committee and is also a member of the OneRoof Advisory Board.

Guy Horrocks

Guy established himself as an early pioneer of the mobile app industry co-founding the worlds first commercial iPhone app company in 2007, Polar Bear Farm.

He is one of a number of high-powered, experienced New Zealand entrepeneurs who've built internationally successful digital enterprises - only to return to New Zealand to escape the worst of the impacts of Covid-19 on their adopted homes.

With clients including Expedia, DreamWorks, HBO, OREO, CNN, Time Magazine as well as The New Zealand Herald, Horrocks helped launch over 100 mobile apps with his award-winning mobile agency Carnival Labs, many of which were featured by Apple.

Guy Horrocks has since launched a new real-time data warehouse called SOLVE.

Guy is a member of the OneRoof Advisory Board and is also a member of the People Remuneration & Nominations Committee.

Adam Jones

Adam Jones had a background in architecture before moving into software development. He has spent the past 15 years leading product and engineering teams and various venture backed startups including Carnival Labs, Sailthru and Solve. 

Adam has worked with major global enterprise clients such as Expedia, Target, Sephora, CNN, and DreamWorks, and contributed to the original NZ Herald app. He is an expert in user experience design.

Nigel Jeffries

Nigel has been a OneRoof Advisory Board member since 2022. He has more than 35 years of experience in the property, information and technology and classifieds marketplaces.

Nigel has held several public and private company governance roles in New Zealand and Australia and is the former head of Property.com.au, former head of Trade Me Property and former CEO of CoreLogic (now known as Cotality).

Miriyana was appointed Chair of the NZME Editorial Advisory Board in August 2025. She was formerly Head of Premium at the NZ Herald and has held roles as Editor of the Weekend Herald and Herald on Sunday.

Philip Crump

Philip is an accomplished lawyer with over 25 years of experience in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. He practised at Russell McVeagh in Auckland before becoming a Partner at Kirkland & Ellis in London, where he was recognised as a leading lawyer by Chambers & Partners and Legal 500.

Philip holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Māori Studies and a law degree from the University of Auckland (1997) where he was the Editor-in-Chief of the Auckland University Law Review in 1996.

Philip was the founding editor of ZB Plus, and currently is a member of the Waitangi Tribunal, a board member of NZ On Air and a trustee of Foundation North.

Josie Pagani

Josie is the CEO of Childfund New Zealand, and an international political commentator and columnist. She formally worked at the OECD, for the Tony Blair Institute, and as a press secretary in Parliament. She has extensive Board experience as the former Chair of Fairtrade Australia New Zealand, and Parents Centre.

Brent is a former Chief Sub-Editor at The Dominion, The Sunday Times and The Dominion Post. He has previously worked as a Parliamentary and Ministerial Press Secretary. Current Director of WeblingMedia Ltd.
