ONEROOF ADVISORY BOARD
Bowen Pan
Bowen joined the NZME board in June 2025.
Bowen has extensive experience in developing digital platforms, online marketplaces and consumer product strategy across global technology and media companies.
He is best known for founding Facebook Marketplace and launching major products at Trade Me, Facebook Gaming, Stripe and Common Room. A Stanford MBA, he now runs his own advisory business, Redwood Pan Group. He also serves on the advisory board of the University of Auckland Business School.
Bowen is Chair of the OneRoof Advisory Board.
Sussan Turner
For the past 25 years, Sussan has held senior leadership roles across media companies, including Group CEO of MediaWorks, Managing Director of Radio Otago, and CEO of RadioWorks.
She is currently Group CEO and Director of Aspire2 Group Limited, one of the leading tertiary education groups in New Zealand, and is passionate about building executive teams and company cultures.
Sussan has extensive experience as a director and is currently Pro-chancellor of Auckland University of Technology and Co-Chair of Organic Initiative Limited.
Sussan chairs NZME's People, Remuneration & Nominations Committee and is also a member of the OneRoof Advisory Board.
Guy Horrocks
Guy established himself as an early pioneer of the mobile app industry co-founding the worlds first commercial iPhone app company in 2007, Polar Bear Farm.
He is one of a number of high-powered, experienced New Zealand entrepeneurs who've built internationally successful digital enterprises - only to return to New Zealand to escape the worst of the impacts of Covid-19 on their adopted homes.
With clients including Expedia, DreamWorks, HBO, OREO, CNN, Time Magazine as well as The New Zealand Herald, Horrocks helped launch over 100 mobile apps with his award-winning mobile agency Carnival Labs, many of which were featured by Apple.
Guy Horrocks has since launched a new real-time data warehouse called SOLVE.
Guy is a member of the OneRoof Advisory Board and is also a member of the People Remuneration & Nominations Committee.
Adam Jones
Adam Jones had a background in architecture before moving into software development. He has spent the past 15 years leading product and engineering teams and various venture backed startups including Carnival Labs, Sailthru and Solve.
Adam has worked with major global enterprise clients such as Expedia, Target, Sephora, CNN, and DreamWorks, and contributed to the original NZ Herald app. He is an expert in user experience design.
Nigel Jeffries
Nigel has been a OneRoof Advisory Board member since 2022. He has more than 35 years of experience in the property, information and technology and classifieds marketplaces.
Nigel has held several public and private company governance roles in New Zealand and Australia and is the former head of Property.com.au, former head of Trade Me Property and former CEO of CoreLogic (now known as Cotality).

Miriyana Alexander
Miriyana was appointed Chair of the NZME Editorial Advisory Board in August 2025. She was formerly Head of Premium at the NZ Herald and has held roles as Editor of the Weekend Herald and Herald on Sunday.
Philip Crump
Philip is a lawyer and governance leader with more than 25 years of international experience in leveraged finance, debt restructuring and private equity. He is a member of the Waitangi Tribunal and NZ on Air Board. Philip was formerly editor of ZB Plus.
Josie Pagani
Josie is the CEO of Childfund New Zealand, and an international political commentator and columnist. She formally worked at the OECD, for the Tony Blair Institute, and as a press secretary in Parliament. She has extensive Board experience as the former Chair of Fairtrade Australia New Zealand, and Parents Centre.
Brent Webling
Brent is a former Chief Sub-Editor at The Dominion, The Sunday Times and The Dominion Post. He has previously worked as a Parliamentary and Ministerial Press Secretary. Current Director of WeblingMedia Ltd.

Amanda brings over 25 years of experience in the media industry, including 17 years at PHD.
With a passion for harnessing creativity in media, she has led teams to multiple global awards.
Print holds a special place in her heart as she began her career in the advertising department of the New Zealand Herald.
Matthew Pickering – GM Marketing, ANZ New Zealand
Matt leads ANZ’s powerhouse marketing team — one of the largest in New Zealand — uniting technical, data, campaign and creative talent to deliver real business impact.
He recently completed seven years on the Marketing Association board and has worked on both agency and client sides, including standout years at AIM Proximity, then the gold standard for direct and digital innovation.
Known for building high-performing teams and driving effectiveness, Matt was named the 2025 NZ Marketer of the Year by the NZ Marketing Association.
Ange Dunn – Group Business Director, Perceptive
Passionate about data-backed marketing, Ange has worked in market research for over 15 years across NZ, Australia and the UK. She’s helped clients across a range of industries turn insights into action.
As Perceptive’s Group Business Director, she leads the Client Services Team, overseeing projects that inform and elevate marketing campaigns, creative, brand and strategy. Ange is focused on delivering smart, evidence-based solutions that drive meaningful results.
Peter Vegas – Freelance Creative
Peter Vegas has worked in advertising for over 30 years, creating everything from water-skiing penguins to camera-wielding octopuses. His work — animal and otherwise — has earned recognition at Cannes, One Show, AWARD, and D&AD.
Until recently, he was co-Chief Creative Officer at FCB Aotearoa, where the team immortalised him as a rug (apparently out of respect). When not wrangling ideas, Peter writes books and wonders why bios are always written in the third person.
Katie Mills – Chief Marketing Officer, NZME
Katie leads NZME's Marketing, Creative and Communications functions since joining our Executive Team in December 2018. She previously served as Group Marketing Director at Aspire2 Group Limited and General Manager (Global) Marketing & Communications at Opus International Consultants.
Katie brings more than 20 years of media-specific experience to her role, As Head of Marketing, she successfully developed and delivered marketing and brand strategies across radio, digital, event and television ventures.
