New Zealand Media and Entertainment (NZME) is pleased to announce the appointment of Deep Balsara
as Programmatic Manager - a new role within its Agency team, as the company continues to strengthen its
programmatic advertising strategy and offering.
Balsara has many years of digital advertising experience with a strong focus on programmatic strategy.
Having worked across leading agencies including OMD, MBM, and most recently Together, he has developed
extensive expertise and relationships across the media landscape.
Lloyd Aickin, NZME Head of Digital Revenue Strategy, says Balsara’s experience will be invaluable as NZME
strengthens its programmatic strategy and builds deeper connections with agency partners and direct clients.
“As automation and programmatic buying continues to grow across media channels, we have appointed
dedicated programmatic leadership to further accelerate NZME’s market leading digital offering and to meet
the evolving needs of our valued advertisers.
"Deep's appointment comes at a pivotal time as programmatic continues to reshape the way media is traded.
With his agency experience and deep knowledge of the programmatic landscape, he is perfectly positioned
to continue strengthening our growth strategy across NZME's entire digital ecosystem – from the New
Zealand Herald through to iHeartRadio and OneRoof. We're excited about the expertise and perspective
Deep brings, and the role he'll play in driving our programmatic growth."
Deep Balsara says: "I'm absolutely thrilled to be joining NZME. This is an exciting next chapter for me, and
it's a real privilege to step into a role within New Zealand's leading integrated media company, home to such
iconic and trusted brands. I'm looking forward to digging in, learning more about the business, and
contributing to the incredible work already happening here. Programmatic is such a fast-moving, dynamic
space, and I can't wait to bring my experience, passion, and energy to help drive NZME's growth in this area."
Greg McCrea, NZME Chief Commercial Officer – Agency, says: "We're delighted to welcome Deep to the
team. His knowledge and enthusiasm for programmatic will add real value to our agency partnerships and
ensure NZME continues to deliver the best possible outcomes for our clients."
