New Zealand Media and Entertainment’s (NZME) annual celebration of creativity and innovation in print advertising is back, with an exciting panel of industry leaders confirmed to judge the 2025 Imprint competition.
Now in its third year, Imprint encourages NZME’s agency partners and direct clients to demonstrate how they’ve
harnessed the power of print advertising - from strategic ad placement to bold creative execution, demonstrating the channel’s unique ability to build brand awareness and engage audiences.
The competition won on the world stage this year, earning third place globally at the International News Media
Association (INMA) Awards for the "Best idea to grow advertising sales" award.
The 2025 judging panel features a diverse mix of creative, marketing and media experts:
- Amanda Palenski – Managing Director, PHD (Executive Judge)
- Matthew Pickering – GM Marketing, ANZ New Zealand
- Ange Dunn – Group Business Director, Perceptive
- Peter Vegas – Freelance Creative
- Katie Mills – Chief Marketing Officer, NZME
Amanda Palenski, Executive Judge and Managing Director at PHD, says she’s looking forward to celebrating campaigns that push the boundaries of what print can do.
“Print has a unique ability to connect with audiences in a tangible, trusted way - stopping people in their tracks. I’m looking forward to seeing work that demonstrates both smart strategy and brave, unique creativity.”
Katie Mills, NZME Chief Marketing Officer, says: “Print remains one of the most effective, least distracted media
channels. NZME’s recent ‘Affecting Effectiveness’ study shows how powerful it can be for cut-through and long-term brand impact, and I can’t wait to see the innovative ways advertisers are bringing it to life this year.”
Eligible campaigns must be booked and run between 1 July 2024 and 31 December 2025, with entries open now until 20 February 2026. Judging will take place early March, with the winning campaign earning industry-wide recognition and taking home the ultimate New York experience prize for two. Entries can be submitted at imprint.nz (Ts & Cs apply).
