New Zealand Media and Entertainment’s popular radio station, The Hits, has launched a highly entertaining brand campaign in celebration of its Cash ‘n’ Car promotion, transporting audiences back to the 1980s complete with shoulder pads and power suits.
The extensive campaign, featuring a television commercial, outdoor billboards, print and digital activity encourages The Hits’ listeners to engage in the promotion for a chance to win big and drive away in a brand-new Škoda Karoq (valued at $46,990) and claim a share of $20,000 in cash.
At the heart of the campaign is a dynamic 45 second television commercial conceived by The Hits breakfast show hosts Jono Pryor and Ben Boyce. Running across TV, cinema, digital and social media, the TVC unfolds in a car yard setting, capturing The Hits high energy banter and comedic flair. It features The Hits well known hosts: Jono & Ben, Megan Papas, PJ Harding, and Matty McLean.
Gemma Vovchenko, NZME’s GM Marketing, says: "Our latest brand campaign marks an exciting chapter for The Hits, as we engage with our audience and introduce them to our refreshed lineup of hosts. The TVC brilliantly captures the vibrant energy of The Hits while highlighting the benefits of our partnership with Škoda.”
Harriett Whiting, NZME’s GM of The Hits, says: "We're thrilled to reintroduce our Cash ‘n’ Car promotion in collaboration with Škoda through this innovative campaign. It’s been great to see the positive response from our listeners, and we look forward to building on this momentum in the coming months."
