Two of the funniest men in New Zealand radio, Radio Hauraki hosts Matt Heath and Jeremy Wells, are preparing to bare all about their broadcasting careers at their first ever live podcast show on Friday 21 July at Q Theatre, with tickets on sale from today.
As co-hosts of the forever entertaining Matt and Jerry breakfast radio show and one of the most popular podcasts in New Zealand, the duo will be providing the live audience with intimate yet spectacular audio-visual treats, sharing embarrassing stories, leading hilarious games, and interviewing celebrity guests.
As well as promising a stellar show on the night, the pair along with other Radio Hauraki hosts will be sticking around to enjoy a drink and have a yarn with their fans.
Jeremy Wells says: “I can’t wait to get on stage and share some truly shocking stuff from my time working with Matt Heath. We’re talking really bad stuff. Stuff that cannot leave that theatre. Things I would never share on any kind of broadcast. This really is the truth at last, and it’s all live. We are going to have to beep the hell out of this before we release the podcast.”
Matt Heath says: “We’ve always wanted to transition our audio podcast into a visual, live, theatre spectacular, and now we are doing it. Jerry, myself, some big screens, great music, our producer Mash, probably a couple of plants on stage, and an audience. What could go wrong? Everything.”
NZME’s Chief Content Officer – Music Brands, Mike McClung, says this is the opportunity for fans of Radio Hauraki and the Matt and Jerry Show to be part of one of the most popular podcasts in the country.
“Matt and Jerry are bloody great at what they do – not only are they brilliant broadcasters, but their questionable banter and laugh out loud gags are second to none and that’s the reason why their podcast features in New Zealand’s Top 10 charts* on the regular,” says McClung.
The Matt & Jerry Show live from Auckland’s QT Theatre - 8pm, Friday 21 July. Tickets on sale now at hauraki.co.nz.
