In a market-first Christmas advertising collaboration, New Zealand Media and Entertainment has teamed up with The Warehouse and OMG to deliver a unique, innovative campaign spanning multiple media platforms.
Starting on 1 December, The Warehouse has one incredible Daily Christmas Deal for each day in the lead up to Christmas Day. In a market-first innovation, the deals will be showcased across multiple platforms with a number of bespoke advertising opportunities, including a newly produced ad ‘ticker’ in prime place at the top of the nzherald.co.nz site.
The campaign also involves several of NZME’s high profile radio hosts across ZM, The Hits, Coast and digital audio platform iHeartRadio, and is supported by digital out of home advertising. The partnership is a collaboration between OMD, Fuse, Hearts and Science, Lumo, Go Media and NZME.
Greg McCrea, NZME Head of Agency Sales, says: “NZME’s award-winning sales team has once again demonstrated their impressive ability to develop market-leading solutions for its partners. I’m really proud of our team and partners for developing this bespoke, innovative campaign and I have no doubt it will be a true success story for our client – The Warehouse. With a bespoke placement via the Herald website, we’re providing a genuine market-first opportunity, whilst showcasing a range of clever campaign extensions through not only our own network, but also via Lumo as campaign partner.”
Jonathan Waecker, Chief Customer and Sales Officer at The Warehouse says: “The Warehouse is the home of Christmas, and we have some of the biggest Christmas deals around including hundreds of price drops, huge deals on toys, and plenty of items to bring to the festive cheer! We want as many people as possible to know about the incredible deals we have in store, to help them celebrate the festive season with their friends, family and whānau. We are excited for this collaboration,” he says.
Suzanne Breslin, Head of Planning (TWG) at OMD says: “NZME and Lumo nailed the brief with this omnichannel collaboration, delivering first to market media solutions, and enabling us to be nimble in our approach to delivering 24 daily deals for our Warehouse customers across multiple channels. A big thanks goes out to all the teams involved in bringing this market leading partnership to life."
