New Zealand Media and Entertainment (NZME) has today announced an exclusive multi-year media partnership with popular annual golfing event, Chasing The Fox, formalising and expanding the support Radio Hauraki has proudly provided the event in previous years.
Hosted by Kiwi professional golfer Ryan Fox, Chasing The Fox is New Zealand's premier short-format golf event. The televised event features six holes of high-energy Ambrose action, bringing together world-class golf and live entertainment in a festival-like atmosphere. The field is made up of Kiwi sports stars, media personalities, politicians and international golf icons, all competing against Ryan Fox for prize money donated to their chosen charities.
Emily Travers - NZME Head of Commercial Partnerships, Events & Activations, says the partnership reflects NZME’s continued focus on experience-led events, with Chasing The Fox a standout fixture within the growing ‘sportainment’ category.
“Chasing The Fox is a high energy, unique spectacle that has cemented itself as a must-attend event on the annual calendar. We know the combination of sport and entertainment is becoming hugely popular with New Zealand audiences and this event continues to go from strength to strength. We’re excited to support that growth through exclusive content, live coverage and integrated activations that will deliver value for audiences, clients and the event itself.”
Chasing The Fox founder and event owner Nick Randell says the partnership represents an important next chapter for the event.
“Radio Hauraki has been part of Chasing The Fox for a number of years, so it’s fantastic to now formalise and evolve that relationship, providing us the opportunity to access NZME’s full suite of audio, print and digital capabilities.
NZME knows how to bring energy, personality and storytelling to live events, and this partnership will help us continue to elevate the experience for players, spectators and partners as the event continues to grow,” he says.
As part of the partnership, Radio Hauraki will broadcast live on-site, alongside spectator-focused activations that will bring the radio station and its hosts directly into the heart of the tournament.
Chasing The Fox will take place at the Royal Auckland and Grange Golf Club on 11 December 2026. For more information on ticketing and corporate suite sales, visit www.chasingthefox.co.nz
