New Zealand Media and Entertainment has today announced the renewal of an exclusive multi-year partnership with Riccarton Park Racecourse, demonstrating its commitment to Canterbury’s premier racing and entertainment events and continuing a successful collaboration that started in 2022.
The partnership sees NZME remain the exclusive media partner for Riccarton's prestigious Cup Week events, featuring high-class racing, fashion, food and entertainment across three days in November.
Danny Valentine, NZME Sales Manager Christchurch, says the renewed partnership comes alongside NZME’s existing partnership with The Royal A&P Show of New Zealand, positioning NZME as the media partner for two of the major events on Canterbury’s social calendar.
The partnership will see NZME providing the ZM Entertainment Zone complete with DJs for the most popular event of the week, New Zealand Cup Day on Saturday 15 November. Riccarton Park Racecourse hosts three events across the week: Opening Day (8 November), Ladies Day (12 November) and New Zealand Cup Day (15 November).
"We're thrilled to continue our successful partnership with Riccarton Park Racecourse. This collaboration allows us to connect our valued Canterbury clients with one of the region's most prestigious events, providing exceptional opportunities to reach engaged local audiences during the highlight of the social calendar. The partnership reflects NZME's ongoing commitment to supporting major events that drive economic activity and bring communities together in Canterbury."
Janine Tindall-Morice, NZME Regional Head - Southern Commercial, says the partnership brings a huge amount of value to NZME's Canterbury clients and audiences.
"Through our partnership with Riccarton we're not just supporting outstanding events, but we're helping to strengthen the connection between Canterbury's premier racing experiences and audiences nationwide. It's a partnership that delivers real value for our clients and celebrates what makes our region so special."
Hospitality packages for Riccarton's Cup Week events are now on sale, with general admission tickets available from 1 September.
