NZME appoints James MacAvoy as Chief of OneRoof

New Zealand Media and Entertainment (NZME) is pleased to announce the appointment of James MacAvoy as Chief of OneRoof, bringing more than 20 years of leadership experience building and scaling high-growth technology businesses across New Zealand and internationally.

As Chief of OneRoof, MacAvoy will be responsible for driving the continued growth and strategic development of the OneRoof property platform, which connects tens of thousands of property seekers with real estate agents, listings and comprehensive property market insights and news every day.

He brings extensive experience in digital transformation and technology-led growth, having held CEO and senior leadership roles across multiple high-growth platforms including Trade Me, Retail Works, OnSend.com, Xero and Goodnest.

His expertise spans product development, data analytics and online customer acquisition, with particular strength in building platforms that connect businesses with consumers. MacAvoy has deep experience working with diverse client audiences, having built teams and partnerships across markets in New Zealand, Australia, the UK and the USA, and has a proven track record in driving operational excellence and strategic growth in competitive digital environments.
