NZ Herald takes online shopping to a new level with The Selection Live Shopping

An immersive new shopping experience combining the interactivity of digital live streaming with the convenience of e-commerce has been announced today by NZ Herald in partnership with The Warehouse Group, taking online shopping to a whole new level.   

The new channel aptly named The Selection Live Shopping will host live shopping events every Tuesday at 12:30pm on, showcasing a variety of products through engaging demonstrations and discussion. Each event will be hosted by award-winning radio host, Mike Puru, and will drive viewers to make purchases on the featured client’s e-commerce site.

NZME Chief Digital & Publishing Officer, Carolyn Luey, says NZME is thrilled to be the first media company in the country to test out live shopping, adding further value for NZ Herald readers and NZME clients.

The Warehouse Group has come on board as launch partner through Omnicom Media Group, having committed to four episodes across the next two months. The launch episode will feature a number of cozy winter essentials from The Warehouse, delivering a modern, innovative new shopping experience for customers.
