Blocking the Unwanted ad:

GAM

1. Navigate to "protections" in the GAM UI
2. Select the relevant protections rule:
   1. To block across all NZME properties select "All inventory: Content Block"
   2. To block for a specific site/section article search for an existing protection rule or make a new one
3. In the protection rule you can block by any of the below:
   1. Advertiser – if known and classified
   2. Advertiser URL
   3. By category- mostly used for sponsorship related restrictions or site level to manage brand suitability

Blocking on our prog SSP partners:

Criteo:

We are unable to block domains/advertisers/category ourselves

1. Navigate to the "ad quality" tab in the UI
2. Navigate to "ad filters" selection
3. Select "NZME" selection (should say "overriding" next to it)
4. Select buyer/industry/advertiser brand block as applicable
5. Enter details of entity to block into search bar (there may be multiple variants)
6. Select cross to the right
7. On main page press "save"

Rubicon/Magnite:

Repeat for 2x accounts for OB & prebid

1. Navigate to the inventory tab in the UI
2. Navigate to block list selection
3. Select "NZME –Exchange bidding" or "NZME" depending which account you are in
4. Select content flag/advertiser/industry block as applicable
5. Select "add new"
6. Enter details of entity to block (there may be multiple variants)
7. Press "save"

Unruly/Nexxus:

We are unable to block domains/advertisers/category ourselves

1. Navigate to the Network tab in the UI
2. Navigate to blocklist selection
3. Ensure Entity selection states "all sites"
4. Select category/advertiser/domain block as applicable
5. Enter details of entity to block (there may be multiple variants)
6. Press save
