Understanding SEAT IDs and Campaign Setup for Clients
A guide to SEAT IDs and providing necessary IDs to clients for campaign setup
This article provides information on SEAT IDs and the necessary IDs to provide to clients when setting up a campaign.
What is a SEAT ID?
A SEAT ID, also known as an account ID or partner ID, is a unique identifier assigned to a specific seat in a venue or event. It allows programmatic access to information about that particular seat, such as its availability, location, and pricing. This ID is used in ticketing systems and APIs to facilitate automated booking, reservation, and management of seats for various events.
I've set up the campaign. What IDs do I give to my client?
If they are buying in DV360:
- For PDs and PGs - you should be able to provide the order ID and all the line items should map directly through with their names, rates, and individual IDs.
- For PMPs – there is no order ID so you might have to provide each Line Item Name, Line item ID, and Floor rate in an email or Excel document.
If they are buying in TTD:
- You will have to provide each Line Item Name, Line item ID, and Floor/Fixed rate in an email or Excel document. The buyer will have to manually load the deals.
TOP TIP: You can provide the Order ID in text form and a screengrab for the Line item details for PG / PD setups. For PMP deals, don't provide details in a screengrab.
