Guide to setting up a manual booking for iHeart audio ads

This article provides instructions on how to set up a manual booking for iHeart audio ads without using the bot.

Setting up a manual booking

Use the details from GAM to input the below:

In AudioServe

  1. Create New > Standard Campaign
  2. Campaign Name: Copy line item details from GAM
  3. Advertiser: Select from list or Create New Advertiser (ensure it matches advertiser in GAM)
  4. Enter Start and End Date
  5. Imp goal add 1,000 bonus
  6. Add CPM
  7. Campaign Pacing: Priority 8 and Pacing Type Evenly
  8. Campaign Pacing with audience targeting: Priority 10 and pacing evenly
  9. Frequency Cap: 1 per day; 5 per week
  10. Frequency Cap: 1 per hour; 3 per day; 10 per week (if FC requires opening / avails are tight)
  11. Advanced Settings: Copy any notes from GAM here, and add Account Manager name into External Reference
  12. Click Create Ads

Ad Name

Copy Paste Key number (audio name) from RAP

Login to Nexgen, search for key number (audio name), right click audio and transmit to AdsWizz Commercials

Click GetMP3FromNexgen icon on desktop

Audio can now be uploaded to AudioServe from mp3fromNG folder on desktop

Click Creative targeting rules

Publisher & zones = stations the audio ad will run on. NB: All NZME stations are selected as a default, but remove any not required

Ensure you are only loading midroll position

Define your audience

  1. Create new group > enter location (country, region or city).
  2. Once done click Save and Review > check details are correct > Schedule campaign.

Archiving

Now archive the line item in GAM

Please close the RAP once audio is loaded – click the contact # hyperlink > edit > tick both traffic and closed boxes.

NB: if you load more than one audio ad you will need to ensure the targeting criteria is set manually for the second piece of audio

Additional Targeting

NOTE: If age or gender targeting, now need to add 3 kinds of audiences. 1st party, publisher date and Sonar demographic audience. Example below:

Other optional targeting metrics

Audience: 1st Party Data > is any of > aw_0_1st.ccaud > paste audiences separating by pipe operator (e.g., |3PD_Small_Business_NZ_Eyes|1PD_NZME_Business_NZ_Eyes)

Use this spreadsheet for easy copy paste

Flight: dates is between dd/mm/yyyy and dd/mm/yyyy - change to listener time

Date: is equal to dd/mm/yyyy - change to listener time

Dayparting: tick box for every day/hour ad can run in - change to listener time

Device Type: tick box you want to target

Audience #2: Then add the publisher data. Add by clicking 'OR' after completing 1st party data and location (highlighted below). Add the publisher data audience and same location e.g., like below:
