Setting up a Test Page for Mobile Web/Desktop and APP
Instructions on setting up test pages for mobile web/desktop and app environments.
Setting up a Test Page for Mobile Web/Desktop
- Line item type: Sponsorship
- Priority: 2
- Run for 1 day only
- $0
- Custom targeting: adtest is any of …....... (write anything):
- Go onto NZ Herald and insert the following to the end of the URL:
- ?adtest=(name)
- Send the newly created URL to the client to check
- If wanting Mobile Web display --> F12 --> select phone version
Setting up a Test Page for APP
Same line item set up as above, however, instead of adtest use arc_uuid in custom targeting
- Go to line item you'd like to create a test page for
- Click on Key-values and Audience in the Add targeting section
- Search for and select the ad parameter arc_uuid
- For the value, input *5d27ea3d15fba41d7b28e80e* or select Traffic@nzme.co.nz
- Add any other targeting to the line item you need.
- It's probably best to lock it down to a section e.g. Technology, Lifestyle so that if other people are testing on the app, your test line items don't collide/trump each other.
- Make sure you set an end date, so your line item doesn't run forever and cause the same issue as above.
- Save the line item
- Open the NZH app
- Log into the traffic account
- Email: traffic@nzme.co.nz
- Password: GremlinElf329
- Your ad should now be serving whenever you targeted the line item to.
Notes
By adding the arc_uuid ad parameter to your line item, you are essentially locking the ad down to the traffic@nzme.co.nz account, so the ad won't serve to anyone else.
