Native Redesign Transition

Overview of the transition to a new native ad design and placement.

Overview

The native ads will have a new single design and images will be in landscape only. Also, they will now be moved to higher positions across desktop and mobile. A new rectangle ad will also be included on mobile placed as the 4th card. See below for reference.

Transition

In order to avoid additional work on NZH Apps and to make the transition process more efficient, the NZH native formats will be consolidated to the existing NZH Apps Native format which will then be renamed "NZH Native".

All existing live and pending line items will need to be adjusted according to which product is being used. See below for further detail.

Homepage Prem Native on-site & Sponsored Stories:

  1. Remove app target on "NZH Native" creatives
  2. In the "NZH Native" creative settings, ensure that the correct label is used. Also, make sure the attribution value is the advertiser name, e.g. "Vodafone" and not "nzherald.co.nz"

  1. Add "NZH Native" size and creative
  2. In the "NZH Native" creative settings, ensure that the correct label "Advertisement" is used. Also, make sure the attribution value is the advertiser name, e.g. "Vodafone" and not "nzherald.co.nz"
