Why is the Management fee 40% for Social products (Meta/Instagram/LinkedIn)?

Because various different social products and social functions (e.g., adverts, organic posts, boosted posts, videos, sharing posts) compete for the same space for the social user, our team must be more 'responsive' than Google ads products; as a result, we require a higher management fee to do an adequate job.

Social products are also more prone to errors/platform issues than traditional Google ads, which requires our attention when creating and monitoring campaigns.

Do you reply to comments on ads or moderate content posted on the client's page?

No.

Do you partner with influencers?

No.

What audiences can we target in Meta?

We can target audiences by geo location, age/gender and based on their interests/behaviours.

When targeting by interest/behaviour, we are limited by the audience lists provided by Meta which may not exactly match the job title/industry that you want to target. It's best to think broadly about what your target audience might be interested in. For example, there is no option to target C-suite executives, but we can aim to reach this audience by targeting older people interested in investing, business news, property, international travel, luxury purchases, restaurants etc.

Audience size and reach will depend on the platform, type of ad, geo area and budget.

Can my client run Meta ads on their own or with another agency at the same time as running Meta ads with NZME?

No. While it is theoretically possible to run ads from multiple Ad Managers, it increases the risk of all NZME's campaigns being suspended if Meta finds a lack of compliance with its advertising policies.

Can I run ads on Instagram only?

Yes. You need to have a business Instagram account and give us access to it, then specify in your brief if you want your ads to only run on Instagram.

What is the difference between social ads run by the DPM / Paid Media team and NZH/Viva Facebook Boosts?

Can you create images/banners for my Facebook ads?

No. This must be provided by the client.

Why are there no conversions on Facebook?

Why is there no Looker Studio dashboard for Facebook?

Looker Studio is a Google product and does not connect with non-Google product.

What size do images need to be for Facebook ads?

JPG or PNG file, at least 1080 x 1080. Max file size: 30 MB

What size do videos need to be for Facebook ads?

MP4 file, at least 1080 x 1080 pixels & no larger than 4 GB. Ratio: 1:1 (for desktop or mobile) or 4:5 (for mobile only).

Do I need to supply the copy for Facebook ads?

Yes. We recommend supplying a headline (up to 27 characters), and main text (up to 125 characters).

Is there anything specific I need before running Facebook ads for a new client?

You need to include a completed Brief Me form and a screenshot of the Media Manager booking in your submitted ticket.
