EDM Loading Instructions

This article provides instructions on how to set up EDM loading in Google Ad Manager (GAM).

Notes

  • The NZH EDM product is currently set up as billing only, meaning the order will show as a draft in GAM. Please approve the order and manually create the EDM line item (ask for a copy of the IO and copy the details).
  • Creative must be static 300x250 (jpeg or gif) and cannot be an HTML file!
  • URL for the static 300x250 must be a click tracker URL, which is loaded in the order below.

Creating Click Tracker URL

Create your click tracker URL in this order: https://admanager.google.com/83069739#delivery/order/order_overview/order_id=2564702873

There is a line item for each EDM we can serve an ad on.

Adding Creative

  1. Add Creative > New Creative > 1x1
  2. Name your click tracker
  3. Paste the URL the EDM 300x250 is to click through to
  4. Save
  5. Amend start and end dates of your EDM
  6. Click tracking tab > Select an ad unit > whichever EDM line item you are in > Copy Link. This is the URL that you enter into the line item with the 300x250 creative.

Additional Notes

  • There must always be a live EDM creative and click tracker (Boggsy gets these EDMs and emails traffic if there's a broken ad in them).
  • The default always-on creative is for NTZB and each click track line item has a NTZB iHeart click tracker set up.
  • When creating your click tracker, please ensure you edit the ZB iHeart start date to the day after your EDM ends, so something is always live. Do not deactivate the ZB iHeart click tracker.
