Steps to properly close and transfer Google Ads accounts
On our end we need to make sure:
- All campaigns are paused on our end for Google AdWords
- Clients have been added as admin on Google AdWords
- Please make sure to go into billing, account budget and end the NZME Billing account budget
- Make the required changes on budget tracker and one note
Please double check if you have a client leaving and you are unsure.
To transfer ownership to them:
Ask if the client will be looking after Google Ads in-house or going to another agency, and who will be responsible for payments, then send the following form over:

- I authorize Google to update the information associated with my company�s payments profile. I understand that this is a change to the entire profile and it will be reflected across all accounts billed to this payments profile.
