To check upcoming avails, please use the inventory forecast tab in AudioServe.

- Ad positioning: change to midroll only.
- Ad duration: leave on 30 seconds (unless you know it's different).

If checking audience avails with a location:
- Add in location required AND 1st party data.
- 1st Party Data > is any of > aw_0_1st.ccaud > paste audiences separating by comma (e.g., 1PD_NZME_Business_4_7_NZ_Eyes, 1PD_NZME_Business_3_7_NZ_Eyes, 3PD_Small_Business_NZ_Eyes, 1PD_NZME_Business_NZ_Eyes).
Use this spreadsheet for easy copy-paste of audiences and use the tab Avails Use.
Then click OR and add in the exact same location targeting AND > Publisher Data, e.g., below:
AND - Publisher data > is any of > browse > search and tick ones you want.
Report for Past Impressions Served for Region and Station
iHeart has a quirk where if there isn't enough audio ads sold/loaded into AudioServe to fill an entire ad break, it will turn off playing iHeart ads and it will play whatever the Online log of the radio station is playing. There is no user experience impact for the listener, but it does mean they can hear ads that have not been loaded for iHeart by digital traffic. What this means is that pulling avails for iHeart using Inventory Forecast isn't accurate, as AudioServe doesn't take into account that we default to terrestrial radio, meaning the system thinks we have millions of impressions available to sell. But in reality, we default to terrestrial before we have a chance to fill those impressions.
Campaigns loaded through AudioServe make up 30% of total iHeart inventory. AKA we default to terrestrial a lot.
TL;DR: iHeart avails in Inventory Forecast aren't accurate as they don't take into account iHeart defaulting to terrestrial radio ad breaks. To combat this and to make pulling avails realistic, when providing avails give past numbers, which are a true reflection of what we have served, therefore what we are likely to serve in the future.
Pulling the below report lets you know what has served by station and region in the past. Inventory is what was available to serve/sell, and audio imps is what actually served (i.e., what was loaded by digital traffic).
How to Pull
- In AudioServe > Reports > Template List > Total Avails By Region and Station.
- Amend dates (i.e., avails request is for a month or week, search Last Month or week in date box).
- Filter Region: untick regions you don't want, or leave as is for all regions.
- Filter station/publisher if needed, otherwise remove.
- Run.
