Frequently Asked Questions about AdHub

What kinds of ads can I load to AdHub?

  • Display ads are banners which serve across NZME sites.
  • Videos serve as pre-rolls, playing before an embedded video.
  • Native ads drive audiences to your site on a cost-per-click basis with a native template that matches the site around it.

How do I change the name of my campaign?

You can change the name of your campaign at any point during the booking process, after selecting the size and type of creative you want to book. To edit the name, look for the information box on the right-hand side of your screen and hover your mouse over the campaign name.

When it appears, click the square button with the pencil icon to edit your campaign title. When you have finished renaming the campaign, click the check mark.

You can edit the name of your campaign any time after booking by selecting the “Edit” button next to the campaign details on your dashboard.

When will my campaign be live?

On AdHub you are required to book a campaign three days in advance of the start date. This is in order to give our team time to approve your creative. Once approved, your campaign will begin on midnight of the starting date you have selected.

How long will it take for my creative to be approved?

Uploaded creatives are expected to be reviewed within 48 hours of uploading. If your creative does not meet the approval standards, you will be asked to resupply.

Do I need to go through an account manager / sales rep?

No, AdHub allows you to manage your own campaigns as and when you like.

I have a company discount. Can I use AdHub for discounted campaigns?

AdHub supports company-specific rates. If you have a pre-existing discounted rate, please reach out to your account manager to arrange this to be set up on your account.

How can I repeat an ad / roll over to the next month?

To repeat the same campaign, click into the campaign you want to repeat, and select “copy”.

The new campaign will be automatically populated with the creatives and booking information as the previous campaign. Follow the normal booking steps to adjust your campaign name, booking dates, and to complete payment.

Can I stop an ad from running?

You can pause or stop a campaign at any time before or during its delivery. To pause your campaign, click on the green “Active” status and select “Pause” from the drop-down menu. You can also pause individual creatives within the campaign, and resume them whenever you like.

How do I know when I have booked inventory?

When you book inventory, you will receive a confirmation email and the status will be updated in your dashboard.

Where will my ad be displayed?

AdHub supports ads serving across the NZ Herald (nzherald.co.nz) website. The specific audience for your booking will depend on the targeting you select and the product you have booked. A ROS (run of site) product will run across the whole NZ Herald site, while a targeted display ad will target specific audiences and demographics.

How do I set specific targeting?

To target your campaign you must book a targeted display ad, not a ROS (run of site) ad.

There are three different kinds of targeting:

  • Geotargeting targets a geographical area.
  • Time scheduling ensures your campaign only delivers a certain number of times within a specified timeframe.
  • Audience targeting utilizes NZME’s bespoke audiences to target specific demographics. Supported audience attributes include age, topics of interest, and business type.

You can add as many or few targeting options to your campaign as you would like: however, be aware that the more attributes you add, the narrower the audience for your campaign.

Why can I not target my ads? I can only see the fcapping option?

Check the ad type you selected, maybe you selected a ROS product by accident. You need to select one labelled “Targeted” to add targeting as the rate is different.

Can I edit an ad once it is delivering? / Can I change a creative once the ad is delivering?

You can make any adjustments or changes to your booking either before or during the campaign delivery. This includes changing, pausing, adding or swapping creatives, adjusting the number of impressions, extending booking dates or changing targeting. You can also pause or cancel your campaign at any time.

I need help accessing my account / I have forgotten my password

If you are having trouble logging in to your account, you can click “Forgot password” from the login page at any time.

How much does it cost to load an ad?

The cost to load an ad varies based on the type and duration of the ad. Please refer to the pricing section on the AdHub platform for detailed information.

How many people does NZME reach?

NZME reaches a wide audience across New Zealand through its various digital and print platforms. For specific reach numbers, please refer to the NZME media kit.

Can I use AdHub to book ads in the NZ Herald newspaper?

AdHub supports the booking of digital ads across the NZ Herald website (nzherald.co.nz) and app. In order to book a print ad, please contact your account manager.

I don’t want my campaign anymore. Can I get a refund?

To cancel a campaign, click on the green “Active” status and select “Cancel” from the drop-down menu. If your campaign has undelivered impressions or clicks, a refund will be automatically processed to your account. Please be advised that if the campaign has begun delivering, a refund will take 3 days. If the creative is cancelled before it is live, it will refund immediately.

I’m an agency. How do I monitor my clients’ accounts?

As an agency, you can set up multiple clients under your agency account. You can monitor the progress of your clients’ campaigns via the dashboard of your agency login. For more information on how to manage an agency account, click here: Agency's Manual

I’m an agency. Can my clients see their own campaigns?

If you would like your clients to have access to view and edit their own campaigns, you can set up sub-accounts for each client. Alternatively, you can manage your clients’ accounts from the central Agency account.

How do I get a report?

You can request an automated report on your campaigns at any time by clicking “Reports” on the left side of your screen, then selecting New Report. You can even schedule regular reports to be downloaded or sent to your email.
