Are you an accomplished reporter who is ready to take the next step in your journalism career? If you have a good track record as a journalist, a passion for breaking news and are equally at home in print & digital media environments, you could be what we’re looking for. In this diverse and dynamic role you will  be based in our state-of-the-art Auckland newsroom. You'll find yourself working across the New Zealand Herald, Weekend Herald, Herald on Sunday and nzherald.co.nz. You must have flair with copy, work to deadlines, be an expert in storytelling across print and digital platforms and an expert in social media. In return we offer an organisation valuing development, progression and succession in our biggest asset, our staff.

You may also be called on to help out on the chief reporting desk where you will help lead the integrated, multimedia news reporting team across NZME’s national newsroom. The role is full time and will require regular weekend work.

Top-rate reporters with experience in multimedia should apply without delay, enclosing a CV and recent examples of published work to: edapps@nzherald.co.nz
