The Head of Risk, Compliance and Financial Reporting will report in to the Chief Financial Officer, but liaise closely with the wider group financial services team. Primarily the role is required to gather and manage information, analyse risks, and recommend courses of action relating to risk management and governance across the NZME businesses. The role requires building appropriate internal and external relationships and may also be required to provide ad hoc risk, compliance and financial reporting support in relation to other initiatives, such as mergers and acquisitions.

It is essential that you’re a qualified Legal or Accounting Professional with at least five years relevant experience, ideally in New Zealand.  You’ll be responsible for preparing and distributing of financial statements and reports, including development towards implementing and maintaining an integrated financial reporting model combined with a focus on financial and corporate risk. As a natural problem solver and a strong communicator, you’ll have a “can do” attitude and be results focused.
