The Wanganui Chronicle’s new deputy editor will have great news judgment, wide reporting experience and an awareness of what grabs an audience.

They will be able to demonstrate leadership and management skills in a busy newsroom that works flexibly across Whanganui’s most-read digital and print platforms. They will be aware of their legal responsibilities; be confident when deputising for the editor; and able to lead one-off projects.

Energy and enthusiasm will be a given; as will writing and editing ability. We are a team; and absolutely looking for a team player.
